CORE PERFORMANCE

Uniform Wash Coverage from Wide to Narrow

Zoom endpoints, optical field, color architecture, dimming and control depth differ across the family. The current model data below keeps those differences visible instead of applying one configuration to every fixture.

01

Variable Zoom

Our Zoom Wash range uses model-specific optical systems. A narrower setting concentrates the field for tighter looks, while a wider setting increases stage, scenery or performer coverage.

02

Smooth Color Mixing

Our current family includes RGBW and RGBL platforms with model-specific emitter layouts, channel structures and console profiles.

03

Uniform Field

We develop LED alignment, lens geometry and motorized zoom travel together to support controlled wash coverage across each fixture's optical range.

04

Stable Dimming and Control

We provide model-specific dimming, strobe, movement and DMX personalities, including individual-cell or zone control on selected fixtures.

DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION

See the Zoom System and Internal Architecture

Our zoom-development footage shows the optical field changing through motorized lens movement. The close-up photography presents the optical face, heat-management structure and internal assembly used in our product development work.

Optics and zoom
Lens movement changes the projected field from a tighter position to wider coverage. Exact angle endpoints remain model-specific.
Color and dimming
RGBW and RGBL engines use different channel structures. We coordinate dimming, strobe and color behavior with the model-specific control map.
Movement and firmware
Zoom travel, pan, tilt, reset behavior and DMX personalities must match the installed firmware and console profile.
Cooling and housing
The internal views show dedicated heat-sink surfaces, fans and mechanical supports. Thermal performance and enclosure protection are still evaluated per model.

APPLICATIONS

Zoom Wash Applications

We match field coverage, control depth and enclosure protection to the trim height, throw, scenery, camera position and installation distance of the project.

01

Concerts and Touring

Move between broad stage color and tighter aerial layers while keeping zoom, color and movement cues inside one programmed fixture workflow.

02

Theatre and Performing Arts

Adjust coverage for performers, scenery and stage zones, then evaluate dimming, fan behavior and repeatability in the intended room.

03

TV and Studio

Test color, dimming frequency, field quality and zoom positions with the actual cameras, frame rates and control profile.

04

Clubs and Entertainment Venues

Use motorized coverage changes for dance floors, stages and audience-facing looks without assuming every model includes pixel effects.

05

Houses of Worship

Adapt weekly stage coverage for speaking, music and broadcast positions while keeping fixture noise and camera behavior in the selection process.

06

Rental and Event Production

Compare transport weight, mode size, service access and repeatability alongside zoom and color performance before standardizing a fleet.

AOLAIT DEVELOPMENT AND MANUFACTURING

How Aolait Develops Zoom Wash Fixtures

Aolait has manufactured professional stage lighting since 2013. We combine optical, mechanical, electronic and firmware development with prototype work, assembly, functional inspection and model-specific technical support.

  • Concept and opticsDefine the field range, LED architecture, lens layout and target control depth before prototype review.
  • Mechanical and thermalCoordinate yoke, housing, service access, movement and cooling around the optical and electrical package.
  • Electronics and firmwareDevelop power, motor and control behavior together with the documented DMX personalities.
  • Prototype approvalReview the sample, source files and agreed golden-sample behavior before production configuration is locked.
  • Assembly and inspectionCheck movement, color, zoom, controls and continuous operation against the model-specific inspection plan.
  • Protection and filesApply enclosure or water-related checks only to documented IP models, then prepare the approved manual, channel data and project files.

TECHNICAL FAQ

Zoom Wash Moving Head Questions

Direct answers about coverage, color systems, pixel control, environmental status, files and fixture development.

01What is a zoom wash moving head?

A zoom wash moving head is an automated stage fixture that combines pan and tilt movement with a variable optical field. The zoom changes coverage from a tighter field to a wider wash, while the LED engine supplies model-specific color mixing and control.

02How does zoom range affect wash coverage?

A narrower angle concentrates the field over a smaller area, while a wider angle spreads light across more scenery, performers or stage surface. We recommend evaluating edge transition, color consistency and usable output at several zoom positions for the intended venue.

03What is the difference between Zoom Wash and Bee Eye?

Our Zoom Wash family centers on variable coverage and wash performance. Our Bee Eye family uses visible multi-cell optics for pixel and rotating-lens effects. Each Aolait model appears in one primary family for clear comparison.

04What is the difference between Zoom Wash and Wash FX?

Our Zoom Wash fixtures center on adjustable wash coverage. Our Wash FX family uses defined physical architectures: five-head Tornado, linear Moving Bar, Wash + Laser, dual-sided Wash + Strobe and six-, ten- or twelve-head Waver platforms.

05Which color system is available?

Our current range includes RGBW and RGBL platforms. AL1950WX and AL1650WX use RGBL engines, while AL1019WZ, AL740WZ, AL1240WZ and C08 use RGBW engines.

06Do all Zoom Wash models support pixel control?

No. AL740WZ, AL1240WZ, AL1650WX and AL1950WX provide individual main-cell control in extended modes. AL1019WZ and C08 use three RGBW control zones. Our team can match the DMX mode and channel footprint to the programming workflow.

07Which models are suitable for outdoor use?

Our IP-rated Zoom Wash models display their protection level on the product page. AL1650WX is an IP65 Zoom Wash fixture, while AL1019WZ, AL1240WZ and C08 are IP20 indoor models. Our team helps match enclosure protection, connectors, cabling and operating conditions to the project.

08Are DMX charts and manuals available?

Yes. We provide model-specific manuals, DMX channel information and available fixture files for our current products. Our technical team also supports firmware, channel-mode and console-profile matching for project programming.

09Can Aolait develop customized Zoom Wash fixtures?

Yes. We support OEM and ODM work covering product requirements, optics, mechanics, electronics, firmware, branding, labels, packaging, documentation and sample approval.

10How should rental teams select a Zoom Wash model?

Start with throw distance, required field sizes, color workflow and control depth. Then compare weight, power, fan behavior, movement, service access, profile compatibility and documentation. Test the current production sample and lock the firmware, mode and inspection criteria before fleet approval.
